Installing drivers for Win 2008 SBS install
I have a new T410 server to install Windows SBS 2008 to.
I'm at the point where the installation is forcing me to install drivers for the network cards. My options are to:
A- Open device manager to install drivers
B- Browse
I'm not sure how I'm supposed to work with either option. I downloaded the correct driver package from the Dell support site (Intel Gigabit ET NIC,Dual Port, Copper, PCIe-4), but after unpacking, this is an executable, not straight drivers.
I looked through all the folders that were unpacked but I do not see any drivers that I can "browse" to.
No Events found!

You cancel out of the wizard/pop-up and just run the executable that you downloaded (and extracted).

It sounds like it's trying to activate your Windows copy, but because it cannot get a network connection it tries to get you to install network drivers so it can activate over the network.
Other than that, I don't know of any reason/situation when Windows would log you off.
You can try to run the downloaded driver on another system and then copy the extracted driver location to a USB key or so and see if Windows can find a driver on that USB key.

Thanks for the suggestion mate, but when I cancel out of the wizard, the wizard logs me off and reboots the server until I'm back at the same wizard :emotion-12:

Yep, use a desktop with winrar. That should unpack it. Then look for a folder called payload. In there are the driver files.
