Installing Server 2012 on a PowerEdge 1950
I have tried to install Server 2012 on my PE 1950. It starts to load the setup, but then crashes when the little dots go in a circle, before it starts the Setup. I have more than the minimum requirements to run Server 2012 but I cannot get past this point!
Anyone able to help?
P.S. I have updated all of the firmware, BIOS, BMC etc to the latest versions to no avail.

First off, is the installation media factory pressed or downloaded and burned to DVD? If it has been been downloaded, confirm that the downloaded file matches in size the one online. Then re burn the DVD at the slowest possible speed. Let us know if we can be of further help.

Does SMTD/SBUU support 2012 on 9G systems? I was under the impression it was only 10G+.

I would blame the media first as well, but if the system has an drac in it, on bootup, when prompted, do a cntrl E to go into the bios and make sure virtual media is disabled. Other than that, you could try downloading the Systems Management Tools and Documentation disc (SMTD) , boot to that and select to install an OS, and on reboot after that, it will ask you for the 2012 media.
