Hello,
I have a PowerEdge 600SC with a SCSI disk, with Win2000Server and some soft installed . If i get a same server , can I move the disk and adapter and restart Win2KServer without trouble ? Or is Windows Server installation "linked" to the machine (i.e by a CPU ID or something else ?

Hey there,
a pretty old system that is still running, great!
An to be honest with you, I don't know how windows 2k Server worked.
With a newer Windows, and a newer Controller this works, as the RAID definitions are written onto the disk so this shouldn't be a problem.
But I can't tell you about this old machine.
