Openmanage install issue

I'm trying to install Openmanage on a poweredge 1750 and it gives the following error message

 

IT Assistant does not support a nondefault instance of Microsoft(R) SQL Server 2000. To continue with the installation, either install a default instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2000, or uninstall the nondefault instance of Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

 

Has anyone had a similar problem and how did you get around it, the server is a windows 2003 SP1 with SQL server on it.
