perc6 h710 cross flashed

i have a poweredge r720 with 64gb ram and an h710 cross flashed with 4 x 4tb sas drives and 4 x 2tb sata drives installed

i can install vmware and a guest os like windows, freens etc and can create shares that i can see from my desktop and laptop no isuues there.

now if i copy files to the share all goes well till i ttry and copy files over 2gb and thios is no ntfs and zfs systems it reports i dont have permissions to do it.

any ideas?

Hello @thecaver99,

 

I see no specific reason on the hardware level for this to happen. Did you check firmware level to discard a hardware problem? Maybe did you check the lifecycle log to see if there are any errors?

 

Regarding the permissions error. I would suggest checking the OS logs to see if there are any error messages. There is not many information about the OS version you are having the problem with.

i went and installed win 10 on the system directly and when i shared a drive i was able to copy of really large files to the shares no problems so i defnitly thinks its an os issue for sure

Yes, it is. So did you install win10 directly on the R720? or in a Virtual machine?
