Power edge 1950 OS Install problem
I have a 1950 and I am having a problem installing the OS the system has a Dell PERC6i SAS SATA RAID Controller. I have tried all the configurations for this controller and nothing helps. When I try to install the OS I get an error that the hard drives are not found. Both hard drives are working OK to the best of my knowledge. Could the controller card be defective? I purchased a new battery for it and I no longer get the battery low warning at boot. I removed the battery from the mother board to reset the cosmo. I have another 1950 and a 2950 both run fine. This one is driving me crazy.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank You George

Geo61c,
The issue you are having is due to the raid driver not being loaded. You have a couple different options. You can download and burn this ISo to disk and boot to it - http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER00651629M/1/cdu_2.1_core_339.iso
You may also boot to the OS media and then at the F6 prompt to load 3rd party drivers, you can present this driver file - http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER00353693M/1/SAS-RAID_Driver_CN08G_WN32_2.24.0.64_A07.EXE
Let me know how it goes.
