R430 - Windows Server Install Issues

Greetings -

We recently purchased 2-R430's.  They each have 8 1TB hard drive set up in a One Big RAID 10 configuration.  When I use the lifecycle config utility with both Windows 2012 or 2016 it will not detect the installation media.  I have tried both DVD and USB, and also tried both BIOS and UEFI with no luck.

I am able to boot directly from the media using the one time boot menu however it only works in BIOS not UEFI.  According to my research I need to boot in UEFI so I can access my entire virtual drive, which is approx 3.7TB in the one big RAID 10 configuration.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

BIOS version 2.3.4

Hi Robert -

Thanks for your response.  With regards as to the why on the RAID 10, I thought the same thing as you.  However our research uncovered multiple sources talking about One Big RAID 10 vs the traditional RAID 1 for the OS and RAID 5 or 10 for data and apps.  Here is a link to one of them.

As far as the install goes, How do I create the GTP partition prior to the install?  What does that have to do with the system not detecting the OS media?
