Reinstall Windows Server 2003 on PowerEdge 830
Hiya,
We are trying to reinstall a PowerEdge 830 for a customer. Although Dell have sent the customer the reinstall disks the
Installation and Server Management 4.5 gets to 10% done and throws up the following error ...
Unrecoverable error while copying Server Assistant Media. The CD-ROM may be damaged or unreadable.
The installation process cannot proceed, please reboot your system and try again.
We have tried setting up the RAID again as well as using versions 4.3 and 4.4 of the disk (which hangs whilst expecting a rescue disk during boot).
My question is - is this a common problem that can be solved by changing the configuration/install options or is the CD genuinely faulty?
If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Nick Date.
