Server Assistant
Could I install w2k server on a PE1750 without using the Server Assistant to prep the server initially? What would happen if I didn't use Server Assistant?
When I've loaded my 1750 using this cd to boot and prep for w2k I chose not to install IIS and when w2k server install was complete, IIS was installed.
Also, I'd rather have a winnt.sif unattended file on diskette to configure my windows installations instead of using the Dell Server Assistant installer.
FYI, I am migrating away from Compaq Proliant and in that world you use the SmartStart cdrom to prep your server, but with that tool you can kick off the Windows installation and use a unattended file afterwards.

Hi,
The Dell OpenManage Server Assistant CD (DOSA) makes the installation of supported Operating Systems convenient, but is not required.
If you do not use the DOSA:
1. The Utility Partition will not be installed. The Utility Partition houses diagnostics and management utilities; again it is convenient, but is not required.
2. You will have to provide the Scsi / Raid drivers manually at the appropriate time during the Operating System install.
