T320 a required cd/dvd device driver is missing
Just taken delivery of my new T320 server. It came without an OS as I already have Server 2008 on a disc. So I started it up and it says 'press any key to boot from dvd' The installation starts as normal and I specify UK as my location. It continues but then comes up with the message: 'a required cd/dvd device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disc, cd, dvd, or usb flash drive, please insert it now' It's obviously read the dvd already as it started the install but now won't go any further and I've no idea what it means. Anyone know a simple solution? I'm only an amateur so please keep it easy to understand

Which RAID controller are you using?
If you aren't using the onboard S110 for disk storage, then go to BIOS and turn it off (set to AHCI).
If the S110 is disabled, 9/10 times this is because the Windows media is corrupt.
Are you installing 2008 or 2008 R2? If 2008, is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

I am having the same problem. I am using the onboard s110 and the server I am using is the T310. I have already configured a raid 5. My boot settings are bios or UEFI sata settings are ATA or Raid mode. I have tried installing the OS but recieve the error

I have a dell T310 I have Raid 5 set up and now trying to install windows server 2012 r2 essentials 64 bit on the machine I have tried in Bios and UEFI I have tried in ata and Raid. If I remember right Bios and ata worked before when I built my last server but it was with 2008 server standard. I purchased the Windows 2012 r2 essentials OS with a key from Newegg to install on this new server but I keep getting media driver is missing. I am not doing something right some where or I need to figure out which media driver I am missing My thoughts was maybe storage controller but how did I ever get this error when I never had before.

Problem: You are trying to install Server 2012 on an S100 controller.

You are better off disabling the S100 onboard RAID and installing in AHCI mode (or ATA if AHCI is not an option), then configure RAID managed by Windows. Or you can upgrade to the H200 or H700 (preferable) RAID controller.
