Testing Memory Help!

Trying to do a very basic memory test when booting up a R410.

I have installed 16GB DDR3 1066mhz modules.

During booting it's reading the GB correctly, but it's saying 800mhz?????

Am I not getting full speed?  Have they been configured differently?  These were clean pull modules.

Help please!

Hi,

What model processor is in the system? Are there other memory modules in the system? How many DIMMs did you install? What is the model number of the memory?

If you are using quad-rank (4R) DIMMs and have two per channel, then that is the speed they will operate at. It is a limitation of the Intel memory controller.
