Virtual Machine Queues
Hi,
I ran into a problem with my VM's falling off the network under load a couple of years ago. It turned out to be a problem with Broadcom chipsets and disabling "Virtual Machine Queues" in the advanced properties resolved the issue.
Here is one of many links to the issue - (Microsoft KB2902166)https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2902166
Is this issue strictly related to -
Windows 2012 R1?
1Gb Broadcom NICs?
I now have 10Gb network, which VMQ is really meant to be used.
I cannot find any information for -
* Has the issue been fixed
* Q-Logic has purchased some broadcom chipsets, which one's does this apply to? Is this also a Qlogic issue?
* My new servers have daughter cards that have 2 1Gb NICs and 2 10Gb NICs, does this situation apply to this hardware?
* Is this only for Windows 2012 R1? Whereas Windows 2012 R2 does NOT have this issue?
Old Hardware R610
New Hardware R630

Hello
The article states it is a driver issue. That is a very old issue that should not exist with current drivers. Qlogic uses the same drivers across several network cards and operating systems.
Thanks
