Windows Server 2008 and PERC H200A
I have been trying and trying and trying but I just cannot get Windows Server 2008 to see my disks in my RAID1 setup.
I am running a Dell PowerEdge R415 and I have attempted to install Windows Server 2008 64bit numerous times to no avail. I have downloaded all the latest drivers from Dell and yet when it scans my USB stick it still claims there are no compatiple drivers available. I also burned said drivers on to a CD and it still says there are no compatible drivers.
The controller was pre-setup by dell and is controlling 2 hdd's and under the controller setup you can see the raid (It comes up as Dell Virtual Disk is that right?)
What am I doing wrong here? The raid controller is a PERC H200A.

**Update**
I now have Windows Server 2008 showing me the drivers in the list that are compatible of which there is only one. I select that driver and it gives me a message saying "To continue installtion, use the load driver to continue 32 bit and signed 64 bit drivers ..." I say ok.
It takes me back to the disk overview and....there is still nothing there. It says no disks found. I have checjked my H200A setup and the raid 1 is active and ready. So the drivers must not be working correctly? Whats going on?

As I posted on your original thread (before I knew Jesse told you to move it):
Like I said, you cannot use a 64-bit driver to install a 32-bit operating system. The link I provided in point Two is for the 64-bit version, as the 415 does NOT list a 32-bit set of drivers for 2008. Getting the driver from another server's download page, you would need to use this 2008x86 driver for the H200:
support.dell.com/.../download.aspx
The Dell installation DVD should work too.

Hello again and thanks for the replies.
I am trying to install the 64 bit version of Server 2008 now and of course I am using the 64bit driver you have linked in your thread however the outcome is still the same as is the message.
I can confirm that I am definately installing the 64bit version of the os and I can confirm I am definately using the 64bit driver (R294478) for the raid and yet it claims it cant see anything.

And you already configured RAID in the CTRL-R utility during POST?
If so, then I would suggest trying the SMTD DVD that came with your system (or download it from the Support site).
