ERROR 404

Question

Hi, I am trying to 'Retrieve System Topology' from a Gateway that was used to setup a Cluster with the following: MDM SDM TDM If I log into the MDM using admin and password there is no issue. However, from the Gateway I get the following error: Error retrieving server configuration from MDM : server didn't respond - code = 404 Running a 'Test Rest Config' I get the following error: Unable to connect to the MDM. Check your configuration and that the MDM is up: error: And right below the error the following in Green: Obtained login token for the MDM. Version number of the ScaleIO installed on our test system is EMC-ScaleIO-mdm-2.0-5014.0.el6.x86_64 and we want to test a upgrade to EMC-ScaleIO-mdm-2.0-14000.231.x86_64. Running a tail on scaleio-trace.log gives me no errors and actually shows some information being made available from the MDM. Google error 404 gives you quite a bit of information but nothing releated to ScaleIO. Not sure how to proceed with the upgrade if this fails.

Hi, Please check your Java version running on the Gateway - if it's higher than 1.8.141, please downgrade it to .141 or lower and try again. Cheers, Pawel

Hi, I was having the following error ('Error retrieving installation progress' : server didn't respond - code = 404) while trying to install a Windows based ScaleIO cluster using the IM. And the above mentioned solution worked. Thanks Pawel. I was using 'jre-8u162-windows-x64' on the IM. Uninstalling 'jre-8u162-windows-x64' and installing 'jre-8u141-windows-x64' on IM fixed the above issue. Cheers Vineeth
