Hi. With regards to PowerPath, Fast Fail has a direct impact on the number of I/O retries which will affect how quickly a path fails over. Dynamic Tracking is used to support fabric changes without impacting FCIDs. This is why you only see Fast Fail in the PowerPath documentation. There is more information on both of these features in the AIX Host Connectivity Guide on Powerlink. (See link below.) In general, E-Lab recommends enabling Dynamic Tracking when administrators intend to perform those actions associated with this feature.
