Can I use both powerpath and pvlinks on the same clariion device?
This was one of the top 35 queries on Powerlink in the past month.
Extract from Solution emc99467 What are the Initiator, Arraycommpath, and Failovermode settings for PowerPath, DMP, PVLinks, and native failover software?
AIX settings depend on CLARiiON software being used:
If using ODM definitions, arraycommpath should be set to Enabled (1)
If using CLArrayS3 software, arraycommpath should be set to Disabled (0).
For HP-UX, Arraycommpath can be 1 (Enabled) or 0 (Disabled); either will work.
