Power Path settings

I am preparing to move a SQL cluster from a clariion CX3-80 disk array to a DMX-3 frame, what if any power path modifications would be recommended?

Change the setting ClarOpt to SymOpt.
For the rest I'd leave everything as is.

What is the command to make this change?

Actually you shouldn't have to make any changes to PowerPath. If you mask in new devices from a DMX to a Windows host running a fairly recent version of PowerPath and the licensing is already enabled for Symmetrix arrays, then the devices will be added into PowerPath and set the policy on those devices to SymOpt by default.

I have never had to manually set the policy on new devices masked from a DMX to a newer Windows box running current versions of PowerPath.

On Windows you could do it in the PowerPath GUI. Make sure you check each and every LUN, but I must say, the commandline command is much faster and easier with the "dev=all" part ;) (policy=so stands for SymOpt)

Agree with Aranh - PP will pick up and set the policy automatically for the new DMX devices...
