PowerPath 4.5.0 (build 169), Sun Cluster 3.1 u4, VxVM 4.1 - pseudo devices?
According with the following sentence, can someone please answer me the final question?
- PowerPath for Solaris Version 4.5 Installation and Administration Guide
With PowerPath 4.5 and later, EMC recommends using pseudo rather than
native device names. However, the following limitations exist when using
PowerPath pseudo device names:
¿ VxVM 4.1 does not support PowerPath pseudo device names with
third-party arrays.
¿ In a Sun Cluster 3.x environment through version 3.1 update 4, pseudo
device names are not supported.
QUESTION: May I use PowerPath pseudo-devices with VxVM, but use native devices with SunCluster 3.1 update 4 simultaneously?
Thanks.
Celso Capao.
