I have a Windows 2003 server that is currently connected to a Dell MD3000i iscsi enclosure. This is using the Microsoft Initiator 2.08 which in turn uses MPIO version 1.22. We are now attaching this server to our new VNX box so we can migrate the data. I need to install the PowerPath 5.5 software but when I start the installation, it throws an alert that I'm running MPIO version 1.22 and it needs to be updated to version 1.23. My fear is that if I select update, I will have issues with my existing iSCSi luns! This is my enterprise sql server that I really don't want to have issues on. Like I said, I need to have the server connected to both storage devices for the time being so the DBA can migrate all his databases over to the fiber channel storage on the VNX. Once he's done, I plan on removing the Dell device completely.
Can someone please help me out here? I need to get this going. Here is a screenshot of the message:

absolutely, you and your DBA need to sign off on the risk of running on single path during this migration period.
