Powerpath and Windows server 2008

Hi

Is there a supported version out or planned for release that supports windows server 2008 x86/x64 ?

I tried to install EMCPP.W2003_32.5.1.0.GA / EMCPP.W2003_x64.5.1.0.GA with no luck, just stops at "Wrong Windows Version"

I read that after i made this post, sorry.

But.. That is not really a answer, it´s a press release and don´t say anything about powerpath or give any dates for win 2008 support of powerpath.

So, anyone have any details about win 2008 support for powerpath?

That's about all anyone is willing to commit to about release dates for software for Server 2008 that I have seen in this forum or on EMC's website.

You may be able to get you local reps to get more details on release dates.

While release dates can change . i will say that powerpath 5.1 sp2 is set to be released the first couple weeks in april . ppath 5.1 sp2 will be specifically for win2008. June will be the release of ppath 5.2 which will contain support for win2008 along with many other new features.

I am ordering a Dell Server and I would like to install windows 2008 along with PowerPath connecting to an EMC CX-340 storage unit.

From what I "hear" it "should" be out here in the next April support matrix update (We are patiently waiting for it as well) If it does not we WILL be screaming about it to ever last contact we have within EMC. That matrix is usually updated the 2nd/3rd week of the month.

Shmac

I think you misunderstood the above comment... The "next" April support matrix is out in three weeks, not next-April!

Hello @All,

Powerpath 5.1.2 for Windows 2008 (x86, x64 and IA64) is available on Powerlink since last week. Also there are several qualified systems for Windows Server 2008 in the April 2008 ESM which is also available through Powerlink

Cheers,
Frank
