We are using the Clariion CX320 and I'm trying to decided whether or not we should use EMC PowerPath/VE once we upgraded to VSphere (ESXI)

I understand there are I/O throughout benefits offered by PowerPath/VE, however are their any failover or redundancy benefits offered over the local NMP?

I'd rather not install an agent into the HyperVisor if i can avoid it.
