PP device file shows different.

HP-UX 11.11
Oracle 10.2.0.2.R (RAC; CRS cluster)
DMX3-24

Look at the below config from two servers and i happened to notice that ctd name is being replaced by the linkname.(the one which created with mknod pointing to the deive file) ; Is that normal? Will this cause any difference in the PP respond.

Hi Santhosh,

Has anything changed on the host? Oracle install etc? I ask because the device file for the ora_vot_p1 device is Dec 11th?

crw-r--r-- 1 oracle dba 188 0x482100 Dec 15 12:16 ora_vot_p1
crw-r--r-- 1 oracle dba 188 0x482300 Dec 15 12:16 ora_vot_p3

We were using the same concept earlier. But never observed(nor present) the ctd getting replaced.
