pseudo device
Please share your thoughts
The following disk are available on the system, METASET is not able to initialize the pseudo disk or MULTIPATH disk, I am trying the following.
xxxx # metaset -s smsc-ms -a emcpower0a
metaset: abha: emcpower0a: not a valid drive name

Powerpath does its job even when you use "native" (Solaris) devices ( cXtYdZs2 ) .. So the solution is to simply run metainit against the native devices.

Does emc180389 only apply to PowerPath 5.0? We have Sys Admins who have been using the pseudo device without any issues on PowerPath 5.2 .1 and 5.3.

Please use the full device naming ---
like metaset -s oraset -a /dev/dsk/emcpowera /dev/dsk/emcpowerb /dev/dsk/emcpowerc
or for clusters---
metaset -s oraset -a /dev/did/dsk/d25 /dev/did/dsk/d24
