Adding new Disk to MD3000
Hey,
I've just finished moving the last of our servers accross to the our new EqualLogic solution and I wanted to take some of the hard drives from an old MD3000 and install them into our testing test lab's MD3000.
My problem is after I install them they're showing as an 'Offline' Status but their mode is set to 'Assigned'.
When I go to create and new virtual volume it comes up and says theres no free spare disks..
So, does anyone know a way to get these online so I an create and new volume?

Are the firmware versions the same on both arrays? Are you able to "Ïmport" the assigned disks to the array?

The array that I removed the drives from was running one version earlier firmware...
Not sure why it would be an issue though, I just simply want to either extend the current volume or even just create an new one...
Should there be an issue with the drives being a different volume? The MD3000 currently has 8x 146GB drives and I'm trying to get 3x450gb drives to work in it
I cant do anything with the 3x 450gb drives at all I can see them in the 'Physical Disk' option from the main screen but that's about it. When I go into "Create Disk Groups and Virtual Disks' option it brings up an error that there are no unconfigured or free capacity remaining.
