Create a tier Pool in Me4024
I have a ME4024 with 4x SSD and 6x SAS. I want to use Tier model. In the default configuration, the system recommends creating two groups in Pool A and B. However, I don't want to separate the disks and I want all the space available on my VMware. So I decided to create a single Pool in A with the SSD and SAS drives in RAID.
My question is, I know that the ideal was to create in Pools A and B to balance load, is there any problem to keep only in A? If this controller goes down, will the other one hold normally?

Hello,
Like you mentioned in your post, this would lead to a lack of load balancing, but I'm not sure I properly understand your secondary question about the other holding normally. Could you provide a little more detail on what you're looking for to clarify?

Hello,
I say about the system working if controller A fails. For example, a failover rather than a load balance.
In the past I worked with the Equalogic system that worked with an active and stand-by controller.
In other projects, I work with Unity which has a model similar to ME.
My question is, that way, just leaving pool A, in case the controller fails, does it assume B?

Yes the other controller will take ownership in a case of a failover. It doesnt matter how many pools you have in iterms of a failover when it comes to pools.
You need the "virtual" rather than the "linear" mode .
