Hello Dell team,
I have a Dell PowerVault TL2000 Tape Library, somewhat older, Currently Installed Library Firmware F.11 / 3.20e.
We use it to write LTO6 tapes for archives or full copies of some data.

Can you help me with debugging in my case?

Hi,
Based on the DumpAll logs, the cleaning tape seems to be expired and needed to be replaced. Also, I found that the cleaning media is not in reserve slot which the storage can generate error messages that the slot which is not reserved will be data slot and the drive cannot read the cleaning media. I noticed in the logs, all the media do not contain any bar codes. This may lead to difficulty to identify future errors on tapes. '
How to set reserve slot, page 137: https://dl.dell.com/manuals/common/powervault_tl2000_tl4000_usersguide3en-us.pdf

Hello,
After a review the log these are a few observations.
-The cleaning tape is expired and should be replaced
-Do two cleaning cycles on new cleaning tape.
-Both SAS ports are connected - you only need one - It could cause issues with OS and backup software
-Disconnect one of the SAS cables
-Check device manager for hidden devices (tape drive; medium changer) - if there are any then uninstall them.
-Reboot library, reboot server
-Test a backup
Other than that no Critical errors are reported.

Dear Team,
Thanks for the helpful advice.
In my case I used Orange and Black cleaning strips- I get the same error code.
The Orange cleaning strip is used a maximum of 5 times.
In which slot should I put the cleaning strip- I always use slot 1 for the cleaning strip.
On the TL2000 Loader interface I have the warning- Media Attention.
When running backup jobs up to 200 GB everything work properly.
When running backup jobs larger than 1 TB I get this error.
This evening I received this error message again.
Thank you,
Bogdan

Hello Team,
I did what you recommended above, I still have errors on this TL2000 loader.
I can no longer add files, logs and pictures to the Dell platform.
Find Logs at this link: https://we.tl/t-Z23AGGvJNf
What can I do to make this loader work.
I also used the cleaning tape.
I left only one SAS port connected.

Hello,
I received your Direct message. Lets continue troubleshooting on this forum thread and not the DM, unless private information needs to be transferred.
Could you pull the dump files again and upload to the same case number I provided there and it has instruction how to pull them and upload. Please remember to zip them before upload.
Then post here that they are uploaded and I will retrieve the reports.
