Dell TL 2000 upgrade
i have Dell Power Vault TL 2000 with LTO6 HH SAS tape drive and 2nd empty tape drive slot would like to add LTO8 tape drive .
is it possible to use LTO6 with LTO8 on the same library ?
what is required for this upgrade to be successful ?
what is the part number of HBA SAS controller for hosted server ?
really appreciate the help !

Hello Oscar1119,
You can have 2 tape drives in your TL2000. What you will need to do is to purchase a TL200 LTO8 drive. Once the drive is purchased then you will need to install it into your TL2000 & upgrade the library firmware so it can be seen. Once the drive is seen then you will want to partition the library so that each drive has it’s on slots.
