EMC NX3240 raid configuration

There wouldn't be a support method to do that, as the internal raid controller can't be used for external enclosures, so they wouldnt be able to be in the same Raid configuration. You would need to use the H740 for the internal and the H840 for the external controller.

the 12 hard drive are detected by controller card when i want to configure RAID but the 4 internal hard drive cannot be detected, i want to know if theres a possibility to configure all drives in one logical volume.

I don't have a NX to test the configuration, but based on my knowledge, if both back planes are connected to the same PERC, RAID should be able to configure all drives in one logical volume. Can you confirm all drives are the same specification. Does the RAID controller able to detect the middle 4 drives?

thanks for you support, sorry i can't confirm the routing cable, i don't have access physically to the enclosure.
all drives are the same specification : 12* 12TB 7.2K RPM NLSAS 12Gbps 512e 3.5in Hard Drive + 4* 12TB 7.2K RPM NLSAS 12Gbps 512e 3.5in Internal Hard Drive 
and i have controller card PERC H730P RAID Controller, 2GB NV Cache, Mini card

our customer infromed me that ther raid controller cannot detect four drives, that's what i'm asking about if there's some special config to detect all drives.

i don't think i need raid controller for external drive because i don't external drive or my drive are on the enclosure
