LTO2 backup file size limit?

We are having trouble backing up huge files... we're using Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, NTBackup, and a Dell PV110T LTO-2 drive. All backups work perfectly until we reach files in excess of approximately 35GB. These large files show up in the backup log as "corrupted" or "not restorable". I've even tried them individually, and the same thing occurs. Is there a theoretical file size limit on backups? I didn't think so, but... Any ideas are welcome. Thanks

If you are trying to back up a file that is being used by any other process, you will get corrupted backups...and run the risk of corrupting the data. This is why Veritas offers the various backup agent services that run on the server being backed up.
