MD3200 & Connection to multiple servers
The MD3200 Deployment guide showcases several scenarios where it is connected to multiple hosts (pages 13 to 19). What sort of usage is allowed in this configuration? Can I map the same storage pool from different hosts and use them simultaneously?
I am able to see the same storage pool and see the contents from two (Windows) servers. Still, any writes I do from one machine are not reflected on the other -at least not for a while, and this makes me wonder whether this type of use is possible/supported.
Do I need any special considerations before putting this setup into production? Essentially what I want is to read/write to the same storage from two different servers connected to MD3200 (using SAS cables) without having to map the disk through the network.

Hello,
it is not possible to access on the same pool at the same time. What you can do it is to configure a failover cluster. With this method both host can access on the same pool, but not at the same time. To be used only for redundancy.

@DELL-Marco BThank you. I do not have failover clusters.
Can you advise on whether using an iSCSI initiator/target would then be a good route to present the MD diskpool to both computers simultaneously?
The objective is to access same user folders from two computers that run two different applications. I can use folder rediction but wodering whether iSCSI would be better.
