MD3220i EMMs in MD1220 chassis Bypassed Physical Disk

Hello all,

I had a PowerVault MD1220 laying around and bought two (used) MD3220i EMMs for it to do iSCSI storage in my homelab.  I bought two new Dell branded drives that are on the support matrix for the MD3220i, and after inserting them to the enclosure, I get a "Bypassed Physical Disk" error in the Recovery Guru.  I double checked the disks' Dell part number (6DWVP) and manufacturer part number in the support matrix, and everything matches.  I've tried booting the enclosure in both split and unified mode, but neither seemed to make any difference.  The enclosure did not have any errors before adding the drives.

None of this is in warranty, and this is my homelab.

Any assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated
