MD3420 and 2 nodes in claster Hyper-V - problem with MPIO

Hi,

I have two problems with my configuration.I had a second crash recently related to the problem of damaged virtual disks of my VMs. Several machines are assigned to node 1 and several machines are assigned to node 2. It turned out that some VMs do not want to boot (access denied message).

I had a second crash recently related to the problem of damaged virtual disks of my VMs. Several machines are assigned to node 1 and several machines are assigned to node 2. It turned out that some VMs do not want to boot (access denied message). After checking, it turned out that the rights of the machine itself are not on the vhdx disks. I was going to use the VM authorization procedure described by microsoft using the icacls command. I do not know what the cause of such a defect is. The machines are now working properly.

I suspect an invalid MPIO configuration. Why do I think so: Because both nodes see the same volume provided by the matrix, but there are different data on it. Both nodes cannot see the same files. eg I create one file or directory, the other does not see it. It is the same with deletion.

Hi @Bugs10,

It sound like it might not be related to MPIO. I have a hunch it could be the CSV configuration. You probably might need to contact Microsoft to check if the configuration is correct. Since you mentioned after the reconfigure using icacls command, I assumed the connection from the nodes to the MD3420 are correct. Hence, it might be the CSV configuration.
