Me5 supports 24GB hard drives

Hello

In the specifications of ME5, it has the ability to install SSD SAS 1.92 24Gb with part number NRR34, which is also available on DELL's website.
Does the ME5 storage have the ability to work with 24GB bandwidth, or does it work at the same speed as 12GB despite the installation of a 24GB SSD.

thanks

Hello thanks for choosing Dell.
You are right, it should run on 24GB- which gets me wonder if your adapter or your cables supports 24GB- from the disk to the host. We need to check all on that.

I think the Industrie with the drives is a little bit faster than the others. The 24G drives are downwards compatible but  neither the ME24 is 24G as the same is true for the HBA355e.

Its similar to the speed of memory modules... they just offer one type for all purposes.

The new H965i and Backplane of the 16 Gen Servers can support 24Gbit.

It does look to support 24gbps. Also, the drive you listed (NRR34), does show as supported on the ME5 series as well.

Hope this helps.
