Minimum Power Requirements - PowerVault MD3260

I hope this will be a quick question. Everywhere that I've seen - the power requirement for the PowerVault MD3260 is listed as 220V AC, Auto Ranging, 50Hz/60Hz We're trying to help a client rack one in their COLO - the power technician onsite believes 208V AC 30 AMP power will work Any chance someone could confirm or refute that for us? Thanks in advance!

Hello DanRaneyDell,

Your 208v circuit that you are going to have installed will work as long as the circuit is presented as a 220v to your MD3260.  Here is a link to our Power planner so that you can see how much power the system will draw.  essa.us.dell.com/.../DCCP.aspx

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

You typically don't anticipate for a minimum power usage, but for a maximum power usage, which is generally the power that a single powersupply can provide. This is usually rated for 'worst case scenario', which would be fully populated with high power drives.
