Netbackup - Why is Drive Type DLT3 for LTO???

Hi,

Just installed a new 132T to replace a VS80 on a Windows 2000 Server with NetBackup 5.0.

Everything seems to have been installed right but i am not sure why the Drive Type picked up is DLT3? Should it not be an Ultrium or LTO type instead of DLT? I don't see them as available as an option.

I read a document on veritas support that the LTO3 drives is supported Windows 2000 Advanced Server (and not Server), is that the reason?

Thanks,
Anjan

I assume it's seen as DLT3 in Netbackup, and not in the OS (device manager).

If so, did you check on Veritas' site to see what they suggest, as it's their software thinking it's a different device than it really is.
