possible network config issue after replacing controller battery backup unitsin MD3000i
Once I replaced the battery backup units in both controllers in our MD3000i I restarted the server and now our iSCSI volumes are missing from view in Computer Management | Disk Management. I only see C: drive. When looking more at the System Event logs I noticed that it looks like maybe a network setting issue on the iSCSI initiator?
From the Dell Modular Disk Storage Manager iSCSI tab when I select to see the "Configure iSCSI Host Ports" I get error, "Unable to obtain current iSCSI network settings from RAID controller module 1 port 1 and ,odule 1 port 0."
The battery replacement seemed to go ok and shows that the array is optimal but I think that's only because somehow the network settings are messed up somehow.
Any direction would be welcome.

To start with can I have you pull a support bundle from Module Disk Storage Manager. I will send you a direct message with my contact info so you can forward me the support bundle. Then I will dig through it to see what could be causing the issues you are having.

I went ahead and spent some extra time in digging deeper into the issue you are having. From what I am seeing it looks like both of the raid controller modules are stuck in a looping pattern. What I would recommend is to get the Password reset cable that came with this unit and plug it into one of the controllers. Once you have that you will need to get a support engineer on the phone as we will need to serial into the controller to see what is going on that is causing the controllers to loop like they are.

Will I need to bring anything offline? if so, I need to schedule a time after school hours this evening. I have the MN657 cable. Do you know if I can use it with a DB9 USB adapter?

Sorry for the delay I just got in the office and seen your post. It is best to use the cable without the adapter. It would be best to do it when there is at the very least minimal traffic going to and from the array as there may be a point where a restart may need to happen.
