PowerVault 745N & WSS updates?
Hi guys I was wondering we have several PowerVault 745N's running WSS standard and was wondering where we get windows updates from? I have been told and have read that the updates should come from Dell directly, I have also read that the starndard windows updates are fine/not good to install I rang Dell today & the tech on the phone had no clue as to what windows storage server was :) anyways appreciate any help you can give me. All I want to do is keep my servers patched.

Run your updates from Microsoft Update as normal.
The only difference between SS2K3 and Win2K3 is a licence agreement and restrictions on use. SS2K3 is Windows 2003 with a SAK installed.
If you talk to anything but a NAS Storage tech, they won't have a clue what Windows Powered or Storage Server is unless they've been doing their homework. ;)
