Powervault TL 2000 Dell sas 5/e adapter controller
I'm trying to connect a TL2000 to a Win sever using Dell sas 5/e adapter controller. My windows server cannot see the TL2000 and i'm stumped, tried updating to latest firmware, both server & TL2000 have been rebooted.
Any ideas

Hello Kwesit,
Which version of windows are you using? Which model server are you connecting your TL2000?

Hello kwesit,
Here is the link to the driver download. You will need to run the install_nonexclusive.exe and it will install the drivers for the medium changer/ autoloader.

This is a Symantec Backup Appliance, running Win Storage Server 28K R2 with a Dell SAS 5/E Adapter Controller, the driver version is 1.28.3.52
connected using 2 SAS Infiniband cables.
Server and TL2000 have both been rebooted.
expected the server to pick up the drive and list under Device Manager as "Unknown medium changer", but device isn't found?

Thanks for the quick responce. I've downloaded and installed drivers, went via Device Manager, scanned for Hardware changes, still nothing found. Could this be a cable issue?

Hello kwesit,
Do you have any error lights on your TL2000? The cables that you are using may be an issue, here is the Dell part# HR384, MM662, for the SAS 5/e cable.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
