problem with powervault md3420, windows server 2008 only find host disk with LUN0
Good afternoon everyone, I have a problem with the MD3420 powervault cab. When i'm trying to update the disks of the windows server, I only get one disk (the one with LUN 0, the demanded LUNs do not come out.) The configuration I do is: 1. create a disk group with a RAID1 (2 disks) 2. I create a host group and a host with the two disks that I created earlier, I assign the disks LUN 0 and LUN 1. With this configuration I only get the disk with LUN. Any suggestions or possible bugs? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.
I have been trying with the form that you indicate but I still have the same problem, I only see the disk that has LUN 0, the other disk does not appear.
Can you think of what can happen?

Hello tcarrio,
Do you have both controllers cabled to your server or do you just have one? I can see that the VD1 is owned by controller0, & VD2 is owned by controller1. If you have done the host mapping and it is not showing then I would double check to make sure that you have a connection to controller 1.

I still don't have access to the different discs. Is it possible to change the LUN 31 number of the access to LUN 0?
i am using hp p441 card

Hello tcarrio,
You can’t change lun31 as that is the access lun to your MD3420. If you change the VD ownership to controller 0 & then do a rescan on your host, does it show up?

Thanks for the reply.
If I change the VD ownership to controller 0 & then I do a rescan on my host y only can see de VD that is in LUN 0, the other LUN's not appear.

Hello tcarrio,
Do you have a support bundle from your MD3420? As if you have done the host to virtual disk mappings as stated in the administrator guide you should have access to your VD. Are both VD’s in the same storage group or disk pool or are they in different groups or Pools?

Hello tcarrio,
Thanks for the support bundle. Looking at the support bundle I can see that there is not a sas connection on controller 1. I can see that on controller 0 that there is a sas connection. You will need to connect controller 1 to your host and then you should be able to see the VD.
