Slight problem with TL2000 and Backup Exec 11d

Current setup is Dell PE2950, Win 2k3 server, Backup Exec11d (with all SP's and patches installed) and TL2000 autoloader. Everything looks OK within Backup Exec, ie can see the autoloader and the two installed tape drives. Can run backups to tape and to disc OK. The only hiccup being that when I create a backup to tape drive (either of the two drives) and hit 'run now' the job sits at the queued state for approx 11 minutes, then starts and runs to completion OK. When I point the backup at a Backup to Disc folder it starts straight away and runs OK.

Not a massive problem. just would like to clear it up. Looking at the Symantec forums it seems that there are a lot of people having similar problems (with all sorts of tape units) with jobs not starting at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
