solaris and md3000i

Has anyone used solaris with the MD3000i?  I can't purchase this unit if I cannot see the disks from Solaris.

Below are the supported OS's from Dell website.
Doesn't look like they support Solaris.

Windows 2003 Standard and Enterprise with SP1, SP2 and R2
Windows 2003 Standard and Enterprise x64 with SP1, SP2 and R2
Microsoft Cluster Services to 8 nodes
Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 and SP2
Red Hat Enterprise Linux V4.0 with Update 4, 5, 32 bit and 64 bit
Red Hat Enterprise Linux V5.0
SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 with Update 3
SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 with Update 1

I know that it isn't supported but does that mean it won't work.  I read on some blogs that it might work.  Has anyone gotten it to work?  Will they possibly support it in the future because dell is offering solaris?
