TL2000 Cabling

I know this is a pretty "basic" question, but I have not dealt with the SAS cabling of a tape drive.  I have acquired a TL2000 with two (2) LTO4 drives.  Each drive has a port "A" and "B".  I have two servers that I would like to use for backup servers.  Reading documentation I saw a reference that the  backup speed was 3 gbs for one port and 6 gps for two ports.  This leads me to believe that each tape drive should be wire with both SAS cables to the dual port HBA on one server and the other drive likewise wired to the other server.  Or am I missing something completely and each drive should be wired to each server (redundancy); or am I completely in left field and should be wiring all four to a set of HBA's in one  server?

Mcgaryt,

You shouldn't have any issue doing either. You can configure it as you laid out, or if you get the Y cable (part # H176G) you could connect both drives  to a single server.

So the choice would be yours.

Let me know if this helps.
