The biggest difference in the 2 modes is that when running in Sequential mode it will go in order when grabbing the media from slot 1-24 & will only use 1 drive. Also when running in sequential mode there can be issues getting the robot in the TL2000 to load the media into the drive as & in most cases you end up loading the media manually into the drive & eject it manually. Now when using Random mode it media is used in any order, but uses blank media first then will uses media that has been written on before. Most customers setup there TL2000 in Random so that they have full function of both drives & robot.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
