Unformatted disk in PV 650F

Hello.  Have you replaced a drive that was part of a raid group or is it an addition (like a simple volume) or are you trying to expand a raid group?  If you have simply added a drive then you need to use data supervisor to make use of the available space.

I replaced the faulted disk in array (RAID 5). It's OEM Seagate ST336607FC and it was in Unformatted state. I formatted it through

May be i can update the firmware, then disk can be supported?

I am sorry, our PV 650F already have flare 5.11.17, PROM Revision 3.23.00.

But it is not support ST336607FC:(

I have the answer for you.  The Seagate ST336607FC has 512 bytes per sector.   The PV650f requires fibre channel drives which are 520 bytes per sector.  The extra 8 bytes are used as additional error checking, verified by the sniffer program.  Unfortunately, you will need to source another hard drive.
