what take tape backup unit will i need

i have a power edge 600sc with a 120 gig hard drive and i need a tape backup unit that will backup the whole drive on one tape and is compatibily with my system. can you please tell me which one.

Well, if you need a guarentee that the whole think will fit on 1 tape (meaning assume no compression and a full drive) you'll need either a Sony AIT4, Sony SAIT, SDLT 160/320, LTO2.

Does your 600sc have a SCSI card, or is it IDE only?

Call your dell sales rep and tell them you need either an SDLT 160 external SCSI drive or a external LTO2 SCSI drive for your PE600sc server, and they will let you know what you need.
