Dell flexbay m.2

I cannot get the Dell FlexBay  to be recognized

I replaced the backboard with a brand new one.

I've gone in and changed everything I can think of in the bios with no results. I can use a PCI board with an m.2 and it will recognize it as long as I'm in legacy. Any help would it be appreciated? Thanks!

Cables are plugged in the minisas i assume? Using the Dell adapter with the small hotswap carrier or a 3rd party 2.5" to nvme adapter ?

I put a brand new PC backboard. I have tried to change everything in the BIOS to make it show up. I've remove the SATA drive. Put a thumb drive with Windows 10 to see if it would recognize the flex Bay 1 TB with no results

Wait, you mentioned you removed a sata drive ?

The 2 topmost bays can use NVME only if they are converted to nvme usage , and at that point they do not recognize anymore any sata drive.

Is this bay you are using actually recognizing a sata drive if you put it there ?

SATA was on the bottom two portion with Windows 11

The nvme is in the top

I thought the backing PC board was bad so I replaced it with a brand new one

The bottom recognizes the SATA with no problem

I tried using a PCI card with the m. 2. But the only way it would recognize it is if I was in legacy

As soon as I went back to ufei it would not recognize the card and the m.2

Beginning to wonder if it's the motherboard itself

I took the m. 2 and put it in another computer and it worked fine. It would be recognized

If this is to install windows, you need the drivers that are on the Dell support page for your workstation. you need the Intel rste F6 drivers and to load them at the appropriate point at the start of the installation. Then the installer will show the drive
