Dell Precision T7920 Side Cover

How can I remove the side cover without the computer switching off?

Is there a BIOS setting?

No bios option, you need to lock the pressure switch using tape or something else

The pressure switch must have been the one I removed and the computer wouldn't start up anymore, thanks

If I was to cut off the switch and join the wires together, would that fix it? otherwise I will superglue it closed!!

I've managed to fix it, I have jumped the two left pins together, it does not shutdown and starts up fine with the cover off.
