Does the unit power off, or restart/reboot?
You could strip the unit down to 1 CPU, no 2nd CPU riser, pull all cards other than the videocard, remove all memory, disconnect all external cables (keyboard, mouse, monitors, etc.) and plug in on the power cable. You should get a beepcode (for missing memory). If the unit still powers down after a few seconds, you've eliminated the memory and are down to videocard, motherboard or power supply. If the unit doesn't shut down without the memory (won't show anything on the screen as there is no memory, but also because the monitor should be disconnected), then add 1 dimm in the first slot and connect a monitor and reconnect power. Power it up and see if it goes through the testing and remains powered up. If not, try a different dimm and see if there's any change.
