Gpu upgrades on dell precision t5610
Is there any ways I can upgrade my gpu on this machine to a newer GTX 970 MSI? Coz the old Quadro k2000 is running slow and I don't wanna spend another 100+ bucks on a old used Quadro k4000 or k5000, so I'm considering a GTX 970 which is much cheaper and giving higher performance. However, Im worried that it cant support by new gpu, so by any chance will it not boot if I install the new gpu?

@Chino de Oro do you mean the one that is locked at the cd bay there? Coz I saw 2 6pin connectors but I'm not sure is that for gpu or not

You can review this graphics card upgrade video to better identify the connectors location. The upgrader installed a 1080 SC and used x2 6-pin to x1 8-pin adapter for power.

If you use Dell OEM, even used cards, it's very likely working (boot). If you use retail cards and system can not boot, reinstall the old video card and disable secure boot in BIOS settings.

does this mean my secure boot is off ? or does it mean that i cant even upgrade my gpu?

Secure boot state was mentioned in case of upgrading a retail card. Your system is in Legacy boot mode and Secure Boot is disable. There is no need to make change in BIOS settings. It does not prevent you from upgrading GPU. Just make your decision, select a suitable card for your work and proceed with the upgrade.

Yes, it will fit and works with your T5610. Just need to confirm your stock power supply has two 6-pin graphics power connectors.
