Installing RAID controller in T5820

Hi guys

I’m looking for some advice and hoping someone here can help out.

I bought a T5820 from Dell Outlet - partly as an upgrade to existing hardware to do proper work and partly to tinker about with as is my wont.

What I want to do is install a RAID controller (I have a SAS9361-8i from previous) but haven’t dealt with a HDD backplane that the 5820 has. I have installed WD Red 4Tb drives in all four of the hot swap bays and intend to do a bit of experimenting with RAID setups ... for my own education.

The question then is what specific cables do I need and what connections do I need to make - is it per drive or from a specific connector on the mainboard or backplane?

Thanks!

For my PERC H700 RAID card, I made a unique back panel PCB with LED works, they work well on my T5820.

And here's a better & cheaper way for you: Just buy 4 "PASS-THOUGH" plugs like this:
